Pre-Build
After a lot of head-scratching and adding up of figures, I decided on a ROADSPORT SV 140 - hopefully striking a good balance between performance and cost / insurance bills! I've test-driven pretty much the exact same car but with a 6-speed rather than the standard 5-speed gearbox, shouldn't matter though as 1st-4th ratios are exactly the same... I reckon it's going to be FUN!

This is pretty much what it will look like I think, although it'll have different wheels (mine will be dark grey anodised - much nicer) and smaller black lamps just to make it that bit meaner:
